Make Your Eyes More Beautiful - Queen 21/02/2011 & Update

Here is the next instalment of tips from Queen 21/02/2011. It's all about the fake eyelashes and eyeliner!

I have added my own little tips this time but the others are in no way my own. This is a summary of the main points discussed in the Taiwanese show "Queen", so credit goes to the show, its gurus and guests! :) All the images are taken from 女人我最大 (Queen). They belong to the show and the respective guests.

To achieve round yet feline eyes using false eyelashes...

Apply upper lashes as normal. Then add an extra section of lashes to the middle of the lash line to create the appearance of a rounder eye. For the lower lashes, apply lashes only to the outer half of the eye.

My own personal tip: Cut up the lower eyelashes into sections which contain two individual eyelashes each. Once applied the eyelashes will look more natural and flattering.

For smaller eyes...
Use criss-cross style false eyelashes, these will give a more natural result. Use eyelashes with a stiff base as this will give the appearance of a bigger eye. Before application curl your eyelashes so that your real lashes will merge with the false ones. Stick the false eyelashes down 5mm from the corner of your eye. Make sure to trim the eyelashes so they are of the right length.

My tip: Keep any eyelashes you trim off and apply to the outer corner of your eye. This gives a pretty, fluttery effect.

Popular Korean eye lining style...
Line from the very inner corner of your eye using a thin line (this can be achieved by gently dotting the eyeliner on), stop at your last eyelash and slightly lift the eyeliner, creating a subtle curve. Go back and thicken the last quarter length of eyeliner.

To enhance your lower eyelashes...
Line your lower lash line with a light coloured eyeshadow, then use a darker colour and apply to the outer and inner corners of the lower lash line. Apply mascara as usual.

My tip: Try defining the lower lashes using liquid eyeliner, this way you can work on each lash individually. I don't know if this works, as I read it from somewhere. So please let me know if it works for you!

I hope this has been useful!

Oo and a little update...

I went into town with my boyfriend James today :) I was going to get a Sleek palette but being the indecisive person that I am, by the time I got round to buying it Superdrug had closed! It'll just have to wait till next time... To think of it, I didn't really get anything today! I did get these glutinous rice pearly things (technical term?! haha).  I am aware they look a bit strange in the photo, but I swear they are super nice!

These are the things that go in bubble tea drinks! I absolutely adore bubble tea and hate how I can't drink it all the time in the UK! So yes, the plan is for me to make my own! I still have to find a recipe somewhere but I am so excited about this. I hope it turns out yummy! :)

I am also going to order the Missha BB cream again, this time from a more trustworthy seller! Hope it goes smoothly this time, fingers crossed.

Aaand that's it for now...

I've never tried using falsies before but I have really short lashes so I'm tempted to buy some. Haha

Thanks for following! Followed you back:)

I am a big fan of falsies, but I often get lazy putting them on...

By the way, a study came out that said the chemical and rubber/plastic contained in 'boba' is actually has poison. I was a super big boba fan but now I am cutting down my consumption by a lot. Just be careful!

I recently bought a bag of pearls to make boba on my own too! It's a lot harder than I expected and never turns out good! T_T Wish you have better luck!
